I can't say enough good things about them! They were super comfortable right away with almost no break-in period. The asymmetrical steel toe cup really helps. The hard tip is not even noticed by my toes. I've been wearing them for 5 months now and like them just as much as the day I bought them.I found out from Keen the weave material is textured leather with polyurethane over the top for chemical / scratch resistance. The only thing I'd change (if even possible) is adding a couple vent holes through the steel toe near the front, perhaps under the rubber cap. They were wonderful right out of the box, and did not rub or blister anywhere. These shoes are truly waterproof and very warm even when slogging around in slush and mud and rain. Plus I like that the sole has a lip, they are easy to kick off when you go inside- the aggressive tread keeps you real stable but also holds lots of mud. They are definitely going to be way too warm for spring and summer, think I'll get the Atlanta for my warm season shoes. |
